Original Work 1

Subject: Original Work 1
Assessment:

This is part one of my original work, I am yet to start the project but I know exactly how I am going to do it and how it will look after. Before I get into logistics I would like to mention why I am doing this and how it will affect others. As I have written in my proposal, my project “will break down all of the components of the LEED home and explain how and why different appliances work.” These documents are designed to aid designers and architects with a basic model of what a LEED-certified design looks like and what goes into a LEED certification. In more specific terminology “The blueprint serves as a visual guide to better understand how the appliances work together in a home and how design is involved in receiving the most certification points.”
So that is how my original works are designed and function, but the way I produced them is more interesting. I believe that with a detailed blueprint and a long detailed essay I can allow designers to look into different products, find alternative methods, and get easy descriptions of different LEED-supporting devices. How will this be done? Currently, I am trying to find a website that could host my 3D model, but I plan to find this 3D website and put my blueprint on there for the world to see. Now let's dive into some of my research. I have done some preliminary research on my topic to make sure it is feasible. Some of the first couple things that I have researched have been vegetation and solar panels. For vegetation I referenced two different types: small plants and big plants, here are some of the small plants I have found: Areca Palms, Spider Plant, Snake Plants, Money Plant, and Gerbera Daisies. After I found those I realized I would need some pig plants like trees to balance out the small ones, so here are some big plants: Neem Tree, Arguna Tree, and Peepal Tree All of these plants are wonderful for the environment, and would be a wonderful addition to a home because they are some of the highest producers of oxygen in the world. All of the following plants are relatively volatile when it comes to weather, although some of the following are for more dry areas. Some like the money and snake plant produce oxygen even at night! If you didn’t know, plants switch to respiration like us humans at night meaning they also produce carbon dioxide but switch to oxygen production in the day (their oxygen production outweighs the carbon dioxide). But plants like the money plant and the snake plant produce oxygen day and night! After plants, I also looked into solar panels. Some of the panels that I have found to be the most promising are: Aiko Solar N-Type ABC White Hole (72 Cells), Canadian Solar HiHero, and REC Alpha Pure-R
These solar panels are interesting because they are the most efficient on the market, some even absorbing up to 25% of the light that hits them! This is a big milestone for the solar panel world because it is very difficult to increase solar panel capacity. Solar panels are some of the best ways to become energy-independent.
