The symposium Finally happened and It went very well! overall, I had a great time and learned a lot from the interviewers, the panelists, and the alumni. In execution, I did quite well, I held conversations with the interviewers and asked questions as well as answered them. We learned a lot during the panels and the alumni presentations, I made sure to ask questions on how to improve at the topics and hand and asked questions when I did not understand something within their presentation. In the panels we learned about things like how to make cold calls and what to do for our final products, these topics are very important for new ISM students so these sessions specifically were very helpful. Finally, I made sure to network with other ISM students to grow my LinkedIn contacts so that way I may grow my network and become better at environmental engineering. The networking will be very important because spreading my roots within the business world is very important for becoming successful in the future. My only complaint about the symposium was the introduction speech, or rather the lack of one. The speaker did not make it to the conference and it was very surprising, for such a professional event. The only way I think we could improve the symposium is to have the speaker show up on time and have a way to contact him so that the students get the introduction speech that was planned. Not having an introduction speech made the symposium a little but confusing because the 250 students never really had a complete run-down one what exactly would be going on during the symposium. Outside of that, the whole thing was splendid and I learned a lot!
